Kamarkas is a gum of Palash tree (Tesu Tree or Dhak Tree) and in sound India. It is known as Brihmavriksham tree. It is a reddish colour or blackish-reddish colour gum/gond mainly known as Kamarkas, Palash Gond, Gond chuniya. It’s botanical name is Butea monosperma or Butea frondosa and English name is flame of forest.
It is extensively used by female in pregnancy and after delivery as a remedy for back pain and weakness. Kamarkas – it’s common meaning is “Kamar kasna” that is tightening of waist.” This gum (gond) is very effective for women with delicate body. In India it is mainly used for heavy waist pain during periods, during pregnancy and after pregnancy. This kamarkas helps to overcome body pain, weakness and makes stronger muscles of waist and brings body (waist) to older shape and makes supple muscles. In short Kamar kas helps the body to reshape after delivery.
